Crane Ops

Every lift starts with a number.

The weight. The radius. The wind. Crane Ops is a heavy-lift crane simulator for PC: real load charts, live rope physics, and wind that moves the load.

In the clip: the LTM 1750 drives up to the wind farm, sets up and builds a turbine tower. Recorded in the game.

Drive it in. Set it up. Make the lift.

No crane appears on the pad already rigged. You bring it down the road, put it on its outriggers, take the counterweight off the trucks, rig the load and fly it in while the banksman talks you down.

Drive it inDown the street with real weight on the axles, then through the site gate.
Set it upOutriggers out on mats, level it, and lift the counterweight off the trucks.
Make the liftFrom the seat, looking up through the roof glass, with the next section on the hook.

The numbers are real.

Each crane is built from its real data sheet: boom lengths, line speeds, outrigger spreads and load charts. If the chart says it won't lift it, it won't.

97 %

of the LR 1700's chart, for an 83 t nacelle at 106 m. The limiter shows it, and stops you at 100.

30.5 t

of precast girder over a live interstate, set onto its bearings between the abutment and the pier.
The LTM 1750 lifting a counterweight slab off a truck

204 t

of counterweight the LTM 1750 lifts off nine trucks onto its own deck before the first pick.

Ten cranes, from a boom truck to 1,200 t.

Each one drives, sets up and lifts the way the real one does, and you can paint any of them in your own company colours.

Nine sites. Real work on every one.

Jobs with a lift plan, a crew and a sign-off: a turbine at 110 m, girders over a live highway at night, a tower crane put up off the trucks.

Mill Road Overpass, at night. A 30 t girder over the lanes, in real time, with the traffic still running.
Meridian Tower, day one. The LTM 1230 puts up the tower crane piece by piece. Sped up: it's over an hour of game time.

Coming soon: a river crossing and a ski resort.

All the sites

Built like the real thing.

Most of the game happens in the seat. Working cab screens, hook cameras you can zoom, rain on the glass and two-joystick support laid out like a real cab.

Inside the LTM 1230's cab, with its screens and controls
  • Load charts and a limiter

Every configuration has its chart. The cab screen shows the percentage, and the limiter cuts out where a real one would.

  • Rope, rigging and wind

The hoist rope stretches, slings take up one leg at a time, gusts turn a big panel and the taglines can only hold so much.

  • Set-up that takes real steps

Outriggers on mats, levelling, counterweight brought in by truck, a Y-guy raised, a luffing jib pinned on.

  • Scenarios and jobs

Long jobs that save as you go: a whole turbine, a tower crane down off a roof, a bridge set at night.

  • Training from zero

A five-minute first lift, then eleven lessons from the load chart to blind lifts and working in wind.

  • Your colours

Repaint any crane: body, boom, counterweight, stripes, your own logo and company name.

  • All the features

Where it's going.

What's being built right now, and what comes after it.

The whole roadmap
  1. Now, in progress

    Working on now

The career's open region: drive your crane from your own yard to the job.

    • One living region
    • GPS, driving and "send it" travel to every site
    • Walk your yard on foot and climb into the cab
  2. Next

    Next: the whole career

The full career loop, finished before anyone plays it.

    • Jobs come in on your phone, and chain from site to site
    • Walk the site, plan the lift and set up where you choose, for better pay
    • Your yard, fuel, servicing and a growing fleet
  3. Later

    Then: polish and playtests

A polish pass across everything, then closed playtests.

    • A polish pass across every site and crane
    • Closed playtests with a small group, then a second one
    • Knuckle boom trucks, luffing jib tower cranes, proper wind turbine trailers
  4. Further out

    Co-op multiplayer

One on the crane, one rigging and signalling.

    • A crew on one site: operator, rigger, signal person
    • Tandem lifts with a second operator
